Ernest Albert KURTZE 1871-1958, was born at Hochkirch (Tarrington), Hamilton, S-W Victoria, Australia, son of Robert Louis KURTZE 1831-1909 and Julianne Karoline KRAMM 1830-1916 who married at Hahndorf, South Australia in 1858. He appears to be the Mr. E. Kurtze the intended recipient of the above 1894 letter card. Perhaps he was employed at "Crawford" Station in 1894.
Ernest Albert KURTZE paid rates on land at Green Hills, Condah in 1896, was a committee member of the Condah Athletic Sports Club in 1904, the same year in which he purchased a 220 acre farm at Condah. He sold his Condah farm in 1905 to Mr. R. H. RUNDELL and Joseph DICKENSON.
In 1909 Ernest Albert KURTZE married Louise Marie Selma KLAMBT 1880-1864, born at Hochkirch (Tarrington), Hamilton, S-W Victoria, Australia, daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm Reinholdt KLAMBT and Augusta Juliana KAUL and they had at least six children :--Frieda Grace, Willie Ernest, Edward Harold, Elsie May, Selma Ethel and Mary KUTZE, all born at Hamilton, S-W Victoria.
