Hiscock's Crossing is one of the local crossing points on the the Crawford River south of Hotspur. Situated on the Hotspur to Rifle Downs Road it was the scene of a tragedy in 1918 when Edwin Thomas HISCOCK (1857-1913), eldest son of Edwin HISCOCK 1830-1906 and Elizabeth TERRY 1830-1905, was accidentally drowned while crossing the stoney ford with a horse and spring cart.Photograph shows Andrea & Lyndon Povey, gt gt gt grandchildren of Edwin HISCOCK & Elizabeth TERRY at Hiscock's crossing about 1990.
