George Albert OAKLEY 1863-1928, b. Port Esperance, Tasmania, son of George OAKLEY and Mary GEARIN; d. Melbourne, Victoria; married in 1893 ___, Victoria to Annie DONEHUE 1866-1930, b. Castlemaine, Victoria daughter of William DONEHUE and Mary RYAN; d. Melbourne, Victoria.

George Albert OAKLEY and family moved from Yarragon, Victoria in 1895 and became the Hotel-keeper at the "Railway Hotel" Merino from 1895 to 1901 and during this time five children were born at Merino. The family appears to have moved to Bealiba, Warburton and finished up in Melbourne where George and Annie died in 1928 and 1930 respectively.
