I, THOMAS CROSS, the holder of a Victualler's License for the home and premises known as the Rising Sun Hotel situate in Hotspur, do hereby give notice that it is my intention to apply to the Licensing Court for the Licensing District of Heywood, to be holden at Portland on the SIXTH DAY OF June, 1890, to transfer the said license to LOUISA CROSS of Hotspur.
And I the said Louisa Cross hereby apply for the said transfer.

Thomas CROSS moved to Horsham c. 1906, remarried in 1927 to Emily SMITH (nee DOCHERTY) in 1927, and died and was buried at at Horsham in 1936.
