Henry FITZGIBBON b. 1809, Co Wicklow, Ireland, son of John FITZGIBBON and Catherine MAID was married in 1842 at Portland, Victoria to Bridget BURNS b. 1828 Co Carlow, Ireland, daughter of Patrick BURNS (a publican) and Margaret BURNS.

Henry & Bridget FITZGIBBON had a large family at Portland and Merino in south-western Victoria before Henry died in 1867 at Merino.

Bridget FITZGIBBON (nee BURNS), widow of Henry FITZGIBBON remarried in 1876 to John HICKS, farmer of Merino, son of John HICKS & Ellen DALTON. Bridget died in Melbourne in 1903 and John HICKS died there in 1915.
