Solomon HULBERT b. c1804, shoemaker and convict was transported to Van Diemen's Land in 1822, married 1832 at Launceston, Tasmania to Mary Ann BODEN b. 1811 Birmingham, Warrickshire, England, convict, transported to Van Diemen's Land in 1832 for stealing, dau of John BODEN & Mary Ann LOWE. Solomon and Mary Ann had the following children before Solomon who may have also been known as George may have died in Tasmania in 1859.

  1. Sarah Ann HULBERT b. 1832 Launceston, VDL, m. John Joseph FRIMLEY;

  2. John HULBERT (later ALBERT & WILLIAMS) b. 1834 Launceston, VDL, d. 1917, Port Fairy, S-W Victoria, m. Henriette Louisa BERTRAM 1842-1908.

  3. Henry HULBERT b. 1835 Launceston, VDL, m. Sarah 'Meron' McRAE, b. 1838 Isle of Skye, Scotland, daughter of David McRAE & Euphemia McKINNON and they had the following children:
    1. Sarah Ann HULBERT b. 1858 Digby, Vic, m. George BALL;
    2. Neil HULBERT b. 1860 Merino, Vic, m. Sarah Grace McRAE
    3. Henry HULBERT b. 1863 Merino, Vic, m. Elizabeth JESSUP;
    4. David HULBERT b. 1865, d. 1865, Merino, Vic;
    5. Euphemia HULBERT b. 1866, Merino, Vic, m. James MARRINER;

James EVANS 1808-1876 & Mary Ann BODEN 1811-1873

Mary Ann BODEN had a second marriage 1856 at Merino, Vic to James EVANS b. 1808 Monmouthshire, England, son of Thomas EVANS & Elizabeth 'Betsy' MORGAN. Mary Ann had been transported to Tasmania for stealing in 1831 and she was buried in the Digby Cemetery in 1873. James & Mary Ann had the following children:
