Frederick Robert LEE was born in Bremer, South Australia in 1861, son of Robert LEE 1817-1873 and Charlotte CROSS 1820-1905. Frederick LEE first married Harriet BARKER, born 1864, Digby, Victoria in 1885, daughter of William BARKER and Jemima TAYLOR. Frederick moved from Jung-Jung in about 1883 and carried mail between Merino and Digby with two horses and a wagonette.

Frederick's first wife Harriet died in 1912 and he then married Myra DAWSON, b. 1888, near Robe, South Australia, daughter of William DAWSON and Anna Maria WEBBER.
