Roderick and Catherine MUNRO arrived on the "Edward Johnstone" under the HIES Scheme at Portland in 1854. They were originally from the Isle of Rasaay, Inverness-shire, Sct. Roderick went for initial employment in 1854 to "Crawford Station" near Hotspur where he was employed by Henry MONRO.
