Peter McCANN, born c.1834, Co Tyrone, Ireland, son of James McCANN and Ann CURLY was married in 1855 in Co Tyrone, Ireland to Jane LITTLE, born c.1826, Co Monaghan, Ireland, daughter of John LITTLE & Jane BELL.

Peter & Jane McCANN emigrated on the "General Hewett" in 1856 to Portland, Australia and settled at Sandford in South-West Victoria after a daughter was born at "Kadnook" Station near Harrow.

Jane McCANN died at Sandford in 1890 and Peter McCANN died in 1912.

Jane's brother Andrew LITTLE also emigrated and settled at Sandford in 1862.
