John BOWDEN 1829-1866, born Wiltshire, England, died "Muntham" Station, S-W Victoria, married at Geelong, Victoria in 1857 to Mary Ann COUSINS c. 1832-1912, born Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, daughter of Charles COUSINS and Sarah NEWMAN.

John BOWDEN and Mary Ann COUZENS had 4 children before John drowned when crossing a creek on "Muntham" Station in 1866 and was buried in the Sandford cemetery, s-w Victoria.

3. John George BOWDEN 1864-1939, b. "Muntham" Station, S-W Victoria, d. Natimuk, S-W Victoria, m. in 1886 to Annie SATCHELL 1865-1946.
4. William Henry BOWDEN b. c.1865, "Muntham" Station, S-W Victoria, d. near Goroke, S-W Victoria, m. in 1897 to Alice Adeline LAMPARD 1868-1942.

John BELLINGER, c.1830-1901, born Herefordshire, England, d. Borsham, Victoria married in 1870 to Mary Ann BOWDEN (nee COUSINS), born 1832, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, daughter of Charles COUSINS and Sarah NEWMAN. Mary Ann was the widow of John BOWDEN who died in 1866.

John BELLINGER, farmer of Bruk Bruk (Carapook) with 2 school-aged children and shown as living 1 mile NE of Carapook was one of the signatures to the 1875 petition aimed at establishing a new school at Carapook. John BELLINGER and Mary Ann COUSINS Mary Ann, had 4 children from 1871 to 1877 in the Carapook area of S-W Victoria and later moved north to the Goroke area where John and MAry Ann died in 1901 and 1912 respectively.
