Alexander Clayhills CAMERON 1823-1874, b. Dundee, Angus (was Forfarshire), Scotland son of William CAMERON and Elspeth WILSON was married in 1858 at Portland, Victoria, Australia to Janet "Jessie" ROBERTSON 1828-1895, b. Alvie, Inverness-shire, Scotland daughter of Duncan ROBERTSON and Margaret STEWART.

Alexander Clayhills CAMERON was engaged by the RUSSELL family of VDL and Port Phillip and arrived in VDL in 1842. In 1845 he moved to Gippsland, Port Phillip and then became a station manager at "Terrinalum" station in the western district until 1857. By 1858 he was at "Congbool" (Kongbool) Station, Balmoral, S-W Victoria.

In 1863 he purchased "Satimer" station, near Wando Vale, S-W Victoria from Alexander DAVIDSON 1801-1874.

Alexander and Jessie CAMERON had a number of children at "Congbool" (Kongbool) station, Balmoral and "Satimer" station, north-west of Carapook in South-Western Victoria. Alexander died at "Satimer" station in 1874 and was buried at Balmoral, leaving a widow and 9 children. Mrs Jessie CAMERON (ROBERTSON) signed the Women's Suffrage Petition at Casterton, Victoria [Mrs A C CAMERON] in 1891, she died in Melbourne, Victoria in 1895 and was buried in the Boroondara Cemetery.
