John O'BRIEN was a shepherd on "Muntham" Station at Carapook, S-W Victoria, Australia in 1856 and was the place of birth for his five children and that is where he died in 1869. He is buried in the Coleraine Cemetery and his headstone indicates that he was from Clandough, Co Tipperary, Ireland.

Margaret O'BRIEN widow of John O'BRIEN, remarried in 1876 to Thomas FLYNN, died in 1915 and was buried in the Sandford Cemetery.
