Obituary.--The death has occurred of a pioneer resident of the Casterton district, Mr. James Porter, in his eightieth year. Deceased was born in Londonderry, Ireland. When a boy he left home, and went to sea. He served on the warship Alabama during the American Civil war, and afterwards came to Australia, where be entered into service with Western District squatters.
