Joseph JOYCE, son of James \ Thomas JOYCE & Sarah IRONS was born in Essex, England in 1820. He married Isabella PRICE, daughter of William PRICE & Elizabeth ___ who was born in 1809 in Buckinghamshire, England.

Joseph JOYCE was the brother of Ann JOYCE who arrived in Digby in 1853 with her second husband Robert HARRIS and two children.

Joseph JOYCE was a licensee of the "Woolpack Inn" at Digby. One entry from the Digby Court Registers shows that in September, 1859 Joseph JOYCE applied for and was granted a publican's license for the "Woolpack Inn" with surities being Hugh GLANCY of "Rifle Ranges" and Donald McCALLUM of Digby.

Joseph JOYCE & Isabella PRICE had the following children:
