John McLELLAN was b. ~1841, Ayrshire, Scotland, son of John McLELLAN and Mary Ann STEWART.
Elizabeth SOMERVILLE was b. ~1849, Edinburgh, Scotland, daughter of Thomas SOMERVILLE and Elizabeth THOMPSON who came to Sandford, S-W Victoria in the 1850s.
John McLELLAN and Elizabeth SOMERVILLE, both of Sandford were married in 1869, at the Presbyterian Manse, Coleraine, S-W Victoria and had four children at Sandford from 1870 to 1874. Two of these died as infants and were buried at Sandford. John identified his brother William McLELLEN at Heywood, S-W Victoria after his fatal burrgy accident in 1871.
By 1876 the family had moved to Deniliquin in southern NSW where two more children were born.
By 1882 the family had moved to Jerilderie in southern NSW where two more children were born in 1882 and 1883 and John McLELLAN died in 1886, aged 45y.
Elizabeth McLELLAN, widow of John was living at Berrigan in southern New South Wales, Australia in 1902 when her youngest daughter Jane died in 1902, aged 19y.
After 1902 Elizabeth McLELLAN, widow, now in her fifties ...................... and a number of her children appear to have later died in NSW.
